Similar stories have been pouring in to us from all over the country as fears that the upcoming H1N1 shot will also be mandatory continue to grow. The case emphasizes why President Obama’s claim that the swine flu shot will be voluntary is completely deceptive and misleading. Americans across the country, even those not directly connected with health care work, are being ordered to take the mandated seasonal and swine flu shots or lose their jobs. The story of what happened to the daycare worker, who would like to go by the pseudonym “Clare,” was sent to us by her sister who also provided Clare’s real name and the full name of the facility she is employed with.

In a recent hearing of the Senate Commerce Committee, Chairman John D. Rockefeller IV refers to John Holdren as “walking on water”- inferring on the current science czar a saint-like status and reaffirming Rockefeller’s admiration of anyone pushing the depopulation agenda his family has propagated for the better part of the 20th century. In the current century, it seems, the family is no less committed to its age-old objectives.

In Granville County (Oxford), North Carolina, Annette Lundeby has been living a nightmare. Three months ago her 16-year-old son Ashton was dragged away in handcuffs by federal and state law officers. He is charged with making a telephone bomb threat from his home on the night of Feb. 15, even though the family was at a church function that night and can prove it. Ashton now sits in a juvenile facility in South Bend, Indiana. His mother has had little access to him and says that there is nothing she can do. “We have no rights under the Patriot Act to even defend them, because the Patriot Act basically supersedes the Constitution,” she said. “It wasn’t intended to drag your barely 16-year-old, 120-pound son out in the middle of the night on a charge that we can’t even defend.” By Pat Shannon

Ted Kennedy rushed to introduce his version of a Hate Crimes bill in the US Senate as soon as the House vote was counted. I cannot wait to see his version. It probably has some buried amendment that if an alcoholic whore-hopper drives his mistress off in the ditch and drowns her, he is due a Congressional medal rather than public outrage and arrest. I am inclined to think that Ted Kennedy lacks the mental acuity at this time, due to suffering from terminal brain cancer, to present a coherent bill on any subject. 16-year-old homeschooled boy from North Carolina was taken away from his home in handcuffs two months ago and has been held by the FBI in Indiana ever since, a victim, his mother claims, of the Patriot Act spun out of control. According to Annette Lundeby of Oxford, N.C., armed FBI agents and local police stormed her home around 10 p.m. on March 5, looking for her son, Ashton. The officers presented a federal search warrant and seized the tenth-grader's computer, cell phone and bank statements.

Americans clearly are capable of being outraged. Missing, however, is a sustained, vibrant demand for deep reforms of our political and government system. All the venom aimed at AIG and its bonus-receiving employees served more as a distraction than a viable political strategy to reform our government.

Into the economic abyss and how Americans deal with it is the question.
